WebDec 13, 2005 · If the valve cover breather vent is open to atmosphere your PCV is feeding your intake manifold unmetered air. I personally run without a PCV valve or valve cover breather filter and just run both as down draft pipes and see very little drippage. (or bugs in the oil ) The PVC is 5/8" and the other is 1/2".
