WebNov 12, 2012 · Update: The fix to this problem is reinstalling the base game completely and removing all custom content, saves, etc. I believe the cause is running programes like Xfire, Fraps, etc. I launched the game with Xfire enabled and had the issues again and then closed Xfire and relaunched the game and didn't have any issues.
